My Experience with Redken Symposium

As a hairstylist, I’m always looking for ways to improve my skills and provide my clients with the best possible service.

This is why I was thrilled to be able to attend the Redken Symposium in Orlando, Florida this past weekend.

The Symposium was an incredible opportunity to see some of the industry’s best experts and learn about the latest techniques in color, cut, and styling.

During the event, I was able to watch some of the best hairstylists in the world, including @samvillahair, @justbhair, @leysahairandmakeup, and @traceycunningham1, as they demonstrated their techniques and shared their knowledge with the audience.

I left the Redken Symposium feeling inspired and motivated to take my skills to the next level.

In this blog post, I’ll be sharing my experience at the Redken Symposium and some of the key takeaways that I gained from the event.

Redken The Brand

Before diving into my experience at the Symposium, it’s important to understand the Redken brand and what it stands for.

Redken is a global leader in the professional haircare industry, offering a wide range of products and services to hairstylists and their clients.

What sets Redken apart from other brands is its commitment to education and innovation.

The company is constantly working to develop new and improved techniques and products that help hairstylists achieve their goals and provide their clients with the best possible service.

This commitment to education and innovation is evident in the Redken Symposium, which is one of the industry’s largest and most prestigious events.

The Symposium brings together hairstylists from around the world to learn from each other and share their knowledge and expertise.

The Venue

The Redken Symposium was held at the Orlando Convention Center, which is an impressive and modern venue.

The Convention Center is a large, open space that was perfect for hosting the Symposium, as it allowed for multiple stages and ample seating for the thousands of attendees.

The stage setups were impressive, with large screens and excellent lighting that made it easy to see the demonstrations and techniques being shown.

The sound quality was also excellent, which was important given the large size of the venue.

The Convention Center was also well-organized, with clear signage and helpful staff members who were always available to answer questions or provide assistance.

The Speakers

One of the highlights of the Redken Symposium was the incredible lineup of speakers and presenters.

In addition to the industry’s top hairstylists, the Symposium also featured presentations from Redken executives and product developers, who shared their insights and knowledge with the audience.

The speakers were all incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about their work, which was evident in their presentations.

They shared a wealth of information about the latest trends and techniques in color, cut, and styling, and provided tips and tricks that I can use in my own salon.

What I appreciated most about the speakers was their willingness to share their failures as well as their successes.

They were honest about the challenges they’ve faced in their careers and the mistakes they’ve made along the way.

This was a valuable reminder that even the best hairstylists in the world have struggled at times, and that it’s important to keep learning and growing in order to achieve success.

The Techniques

One of the main reasons I attended the Redken Symposium was to learn about the latest techniques in color, cut, and styling. I was not disappointed.

The demonstrations and presentations were incredibly informative, providing me with new ideas and inspiration for my own work.

One of the techniques that really stood out to me was balayage.

This is a hair coloring technique that involves hand-painting the color onto the hair, rather than using foils.

Balayage creates a natural, sun-kissed look that is perfect for clients who want a subtle change or a low-maintenance style.

Another technique that I learned about was dry cutting.

This is a cutting technique that is done on dry hair, rather than wet hair.

Dry cutting allows the stylist to see the natural movement and texture of the hair, and create a style that is customized to the client’s individual needs.

The Products

In addition to learning about new techniques, the Redken Symposium was also a great opportunity to learn about new products and services that are available to hairstylists and their clients.

One of the products that I learned about was the Redken Shades EQ Gloss.

This is a demi-permanent haircolor that provides rich, vibrant color and shine without damaging the hair.

It’s perfect for clients who want to add a pop of color to their hair without committing to a permanent change.

I also learned about the Redken Dry Texture range, which includes a variety of products that are designed to add texture and volume to the hair.

These products are perfect for clients who want a tousled, beachy look or who have fine, limp hair that needs a boost.

The Networking

One of the unexpected benefits of attending the Redken Symposium was the opportunity to network with other hairstylists from around the world.

The event was attended by thousands of hairstylists, which provided ample opportunity to meet new people and make connections.

I was able to connect with hairstylists from different parts of the world, each with their own unique perspectives and experiences.

We were able to share tips and tricks, and discuss the challenges and opportunities that we face in our work.

This networking was valuable not only for the connections that I made, but also for the inspiration that I gained.

Hearing about the experiences and successes of other hairstylists was a powerful reminder of the impact that we can have on our clients and on the industry as a whole.

The Inspiration

Perhaps the most valuable aspect of the Redken Symposium was the inspiration that I gained from the event.

Seeing the incredible work of the industry’s top hairstylists was a powerful reminder of what is possible when we push ourselves to be our best.

The Symposium left me feeling motivated and energized, with a renewed sense of purpose and passion for my work.

I’m excited to take the techniques and ideas that I learned at the event and apply them in my own salon, to provide my clients with the best possible service.

Conclusion

The Redken Symposium was an incredible experience that I will never forget.

The event provided me with valuable insights, techniques, and inspiration that I will carry with me throughout my career.

I would highly recommend the Symposium to any hairstylist who is looking to improve their skills and provide their clients with the best possible service.

It’s an investment in yourself and your career that is well worth the time and expense.
